The triple treat the moon laid out for us which we missed. Just watch the video and you will get what I am talking about.

It is indeed a treat. The moon in 3 different avatars! But I feel you saw the blue moon which is what the second full moon in a month is called!

That’s the photograph I took of the full moon.

I think so.

A similar spectacle occurred in 1982 and the next one will occur again in 2037. I don’t think I will be alive to witness it. What an opportunity I missed! We all missed.

But there’s no point in crying over spilt milk. What’s gone is gone. Now look ahead: Maybe you’ll still be around to witness this spectacle in 2037, walking stick in hand et all… After all, it’s just another 19 years away!

  What video, Mihir? I missed the show almost completely and got to see the blue moon only! What as ass I am that I didn’t make any attempt at capturing the eclipse and the red moon when all I needed to do was drive down to Marine Drive!

Dear Author, I witnessed the blue moon in all its glory from my terrace in Bangalore. What a sight you missed. It was glorious. We camped out from 5.30 in the evening and it takes a lot of time to unfold. Don’t get fooled by all the videos out there. They speed it up. In real time, one has to be really patient to watch the eclipse. But once you see it, you’ll never forget it!

  I guess you didn’t want to miss the spectacle and, therefore, made an effort camping out from 5.30 in the evening in your garden. I was too self-assured that I would most certainly see the eclipse and the red moon and dilly-dallied and, therefore, missed seeing this show. I saw the blue moon though!

I missed it…I was stuck at work and my horrendous boss lady refused to allow us to give us a break so we could watch the spectacle..I love anything to do with astronomy..stars, moon, sun, planets.these fascinate me and I wish I could give up everything and head to NASA and stay there all my life…did you see Elon Musk’s experiment of sending his car to outer space? Just amazing things happening in the world today..technology and vision are taking us to places we never thought we could go!

  Wow! If astronomy fascinates you the way it does, why are you wasting your time doing a desk job? Head to NASA and do what your heart tells you to do because we only live once. Yes, I read of Elon Musk sending his car to outer space and am both fascinated
