Thank You!

My dear well-wishers,

Thank you for standing beside me as I battled with depression and panic attacks. It started about a year back and I am proud to tell you that I think I’ve beaten it which is the reason why I am back to writing my posts on a regular basis.

Had it not been for all the kind and supporting mail I received from many of you and the rock-solid egging to move on, I doubt if I would have been able to emerge from that darkness.

There came a point in time when I felt like scrapping this blog but your letters made me do a volte-face. From that day I was determined that, come what may, I would continue with the blog even if that meant writing a post a month. I have struggled to be where I am today but, thanks to my family and friends like you, I am enjoying the fact that I am back to writing rather frequently once again.

We are a community of friends author and we stand by each other through thick and thin. Depression is the new Thyroid. You can live a perfectly good and normal and happy life provided you have it under control…Seems like you certainly do! Congratulations Survivor!

  Yes, depression is the new bane all over the world and can be brought under control with the right medication and therapy. I do both and my depression is under control now. In fact, I feel on a high sometimes because I am so happy. Touch wood!

we are all soldiers on a battlefield and we all need to fight and march on…no matter who the opponent. Here your opponent was depression and anxiety and you have conquered them. if the opponent ever rises again, we will deal with it then…don’t ever give up aunty..btw, how is your mother?

  Yes, I have won this battle and, hopefully, even if the enemy rears its head again, I will be in a better position to deal with it having gone through the birth pangs once.
  
  My mother is a little better now and can communicate somewhat though she is still bedridden. Hopefully, your prayers will work a miracle and she will be on her feet once again.

Thank god you’re back author…my kids were wondering why I’m not reading bedtime stories to them..but write when you feel like…none of your readers will run away…we have stuck around for all this while because we love this blog. We understand. No explanation required.

Did I just read right? Welcome to the party author. I am a patient of depression and it’s been 18 months since I was first diagnosed. Today I feel like I have returned to being the person I was. Yes it was difficult but never impossible. I still have bad days but nothing that I cannot cope with. The trick lies in loving others and being loved and knowing that no matter what, you are NOT alone.

  Are you still on medication? Did you ever see a therapist? I did both and continue doing both but, hopefully, I will return to a position when I will stop popping pills and not meet up with my therapist and still be alright.
