The blue moon, the supermoon and the total lunar eclipse, a spectacular show that unfurled in just one day, ditched you?
Not quite correct, Button. The time given for moon gazers to witness this spectacle was anytime between 6 and 9.30 pm.
So what happened?
I began my trips to the terrace from 6.30 in the evening but was unable to even spot the moon! I eventually spotted it after it decided to lift its ghungat well past the time quoted in newspapers. What I saw was a full-blown normal moon which you can see below:
What I also spotted were some pigeons fast asleep on the parapet outside our building. There was one who was fast asleep on a small iron protrusion with one leg curled under her tummy, steady as a rock!
I’ve never managed to understand how they balance themselves and sleep at the same time! And, that too, on one leg!
Could they be practising yoga for the balancing feat?
