Dear Readers, you may notice the dates of the Blog do not match the Flash Post dates which are in real time. The blog was written in 2009 and saw the light of day 6 months back when my younger daughter discovered it and decided to bring it to you here.

Flash Post 197!

Button, the rains been playing hide-n-seek since the last 3-4 days.

It drizzled a couple of times!

But we need some good showers that will take away the heat.

Patience. Patience.

As if you don’t want it to rain. You must be sweltering in that coat of yours!

Somewhat.

Speaking of hide-n-seek, don’t you enjoy playing the game anymore?

I do but Mowgli now enjoys playing the game with her ma only.

This is one thing we must share with our readers. About how she plays hide-n-seek, that too only on Saturdays and Sunday’s when her ma is at home.

Should I?

Please.

Well, readers, once Mowgli is given a bit of toast, she carries it in her mouth and goes and hides it. The hiding place is invariably on her ma’s bed in her ma’s room under bed covers or pillows or cushions, or whatever else she can find. Sometimes, for lack of something to hide it under, she leaves it on the bed, thinking she’s hidden it! After she feels it’s aptly hidden, she starts barking. The bark is an indication that her mama should go to the room, dig out the toast from wherever she’s hidden it and hand it over to her for her to eat it. After she’s finished eating the first bit of toast, she jumps off the bed, comes back for more toast and the earlier ritual follows till someone goes again, finds the toast and hands it to her for her to eat it. Mind you, this does not happen between Monday and Friday. Her intention is to play the game with her ma only when she’s at home on weekends. Her masi joins in sometimes to harass her a little.

Well told, Button. This also shows the love and adoration Mowgli shares with her mama and vice versa.

Mowgli lying heartbroken with two squares of toast lying on the floor as her mama is at work and she doesn’t want to play hide-n-seek with anyone else.
