Flash Post 198!

Button, remember the post I sent you sometime back about how spiders had invaded a town in unthinkable numbers?

I vaguely remember.

And while the arachnids silently tiptoed into home after home, the actual inhabitants made an exit. So you had spiders on your bed, in your closets, all over your kitchen, in bathrooms…you name it. I think I also mentioned how the webs they spun were a mile long in diameter.

What would you do in such a situation?

What could I do but leave everything and run as fast as my old legs would carry me!

And now it’s the turn of bats that have taken over a small town in Australia.

Which one.

A place called Batemans Bay in New South Wales that has a population of only 11,000. The bats that set up a colony years back have outnumbered the humans at a ratio of 11,000/1,00,000. So the only thing the inhabitants see are nothing but bats. They are on every surface, every tree, any place you can think of.

And what are the inhabitants up to?

What can they do but wait patiently indoors till the bats decide to leave them alone! What would you do in such a situation?

Patiently wait indoors and let life carry me along till the bats realise that I am not scared of them.
