“That’s sweet. But I don’t have anything to wear.”

“Let me look. I’ll find something. It’s a casual party, right? So wear this t-shirt which says “Being Humane” in the front and the denim cut-outs. This silver pair of sneakers will go well with your clothes!”

“You are a sweetheart. I was feeling a little low not knowing what to wear but, as usual, you came up with a solution. Thank you. I have also showered and brushed my teeth.”

“I’ll tell you about an incident that had me in splits.”

“Jaldi bolo. I have to leave.”

“A video of a pelican repeatedly biting a weatherman on his backside has become a You Tube hit. The bird returned to its zookeeper for food but returned moments later to attack him. He was pinned against a wall screaming—let me go, let me off—but the bird kept pecking his bottom.”

“This is too funny for words. It’ll have Fluffy in splits.”

“And here’s a bunch of African daisies to gift Preity. The driver is waiting downstairs.”
