October 10. “I’m not feeling too good, Button.”
“Then you must go to sleep early.”
“But you know that my day will not be complete unless I write to you!”

“But you know that my day will not be complete unless I write to you!”
“I’ve been seeing the show every day. I get very lonely and bored, especially at night.”
“Arre baba, you’re most welcome to watch what you want. Good show, na?”
There were a lot of lovely photographs of dogs and cats attached with it. There was also a small note which said that I should not miss out on the last story.”
“Yes. She came close, nudged my leg like she nudges you very often and stuck her ice cold nose into my tummy and sniffed me. She’s so cute.”
“She’s not ferocious in the least. I think she likes to appear ferocious so everybody is in awe of her. She takes her role as our protector very seriously.”
But I must tell you what I saw this afternoon on my way to Colaba. I spotted a she goat with massive udders spread out on the footpath and two of her babies suckling her.”
“I sure do but I’d love it more if I could go for a walk and get wet. Do you believe in reincarnation? I only hope that in my next birth I am born a real teddy bear so I can move around and do what I want.”
No, it’s not morning yet. It’s night and I’m in the room beside yours to check my email. Want to join me?”
“Do you hear that kite, Button?”
“His name is Fluffy and he’s a friend. We became friends after he saw me waving out to him some time back before these windows were boarded up and I could look outside.”
I put him on a different pedestal this morning and saw him smiling from ear to ear.
“What makes you so happy this morning, Button?”
