“She’s very cute when she chooses. She has a tough exterior but is soft within. And now that she’s come and met you, she’ll tell Mowgli about you and get her to come and meet you too. You know that both Rani and Mowgli were rescued. My daughter rescued Mowgli when she was shooting in Ooty. A chattering group of monkeys dropped her accidentally from a tree top. That’s the reason why Mowgli’s left front leg is weak. Had they not dropped her and, had my daughter not brought her home, she would have, probably, been living as one them.”

“I am a little scared of Rani though.”

“Honestly, she’s harmless.”
