September 6. “Button, I heard an alarm going off somewhere this morning and discovered that it was my younger daughter’s old cell phone playing.
I promptly located the phone and turned off the alarm. It rang thrice after that .”
“That’s eerie.”
“I checked with her later and even she was surprised that the alarm should go off as she had switched off the phone.”
“Did you find out the mystery behind the alarm?”
“Not really but I remembered a story Dost wrote in a book of his which carried a story titled Rhea. The story was about a Casio Quartz calculator-cum-alarm clock he purchased for her and how the alarm would ring at three every morning when the time was actually set for six. I read the story yet again and found that it’s quite a bit of a horror story.”
“Why?”
“Because, even after Dost sells the Casio to a friend, the telephone would still ring at three in the morning in place of the clock!”
“Oh!”
