October 18. “Button, the TOI of the 16th reported that we will need two earths by 2030.”

“Meaning?”

“It means that, because of population explosion, land to house those many people and excess usage of water will force us to use the resources of two earths.”

“It’s scary.”

“According to the Living Planet Report, human demands on natural resources have doubled in under 50 years. On the other hand, wild-life in tropical countries is also under huge pressure, with population of species falling by 60% in three decades.”

“What do you think is going to happen in the next two decades?”

“Since I am an eternal optimist, I think the economic condition is going to change for the better, mother earth will slowly recover and there will be no need to take shelter on some other planet.”

“You also realize that human longevity is increasing. Scientists are also trying to find a way where human beings will be immortal and never age! Who’ll take care of that?”

“That’s boring. Human beings become like old wine as they age. How can you stop that process? It’s unnatural!”

“Of-course it’s unnatural but, like I told you earlier, human being are playing god.”
