There was this huge gunny sack with corn (makai or bhutta) sticking out of it. A cow was digging into the sack and helping himself to the corn. I drove off smiling seeing her having a great meal. Hope she didn’t get thrashed later by the owner of the corn sack!”

“These four-legged friends of ours are actually meant to graze in the fields. In the absence of grazing fields, they are deprived of fresh grass. Very often, they are so hungry, they eat anything that comes their way. This cow must have been starving so the corn must have seemed like manna from heaven.”

“Do you know that a lot of them die from eating discarded plastic which are freely available! And, since plastic is non-degradable, die from plastic poisoning.”
