Dear Readers, you may notice the dates of the Blog do not match the Flash Post dates which are in real time. The blog was written in 2009 and saw the light of day 6 months back when my younger daughter discovered it and decided to bring it to you here.

March 7. “Button, today’s Sunday: I want you to decide on the lunch menu.”

“That’s not a problem. I’ll stick to simple food because that is what all of us like.”

“So what’s the menu?”

“We’ll make some khatti-meethi dal, an aloo subzi, one more vegetable, tomato chutney and some salad.”

“You’re sure you don’t want some fish?”

“I feel greatly tempted to eat some of those kanda bhajias. Would I be asking for too much?”

“Not at all. But fried stuff will give you a bigger tummy .”

“Is my tummy all that big?”

“You have obviously not seen yourself in a mirror lately!”

“We can go to the racecourse more often to work on that fat.”

“I’ll make the bhajias for you but don’t overeat. You can also come with me and work out.”

“But I’ve learnt quite a few of the yoga asanas you do and practice them often.”

“Really?  Call me when you do them and let me check you out.”

“I’ll do that. I can actually do the sarvangasana for 5 minutes at a stretch. I can also do 25 repetitions of the surya-namaskar.”

“That’s wonderful. And why haven’t you told me about it?”

“Just thought I’d learn some more and then call you over to impress you. And, maybe, trade that with more hugs and kisses!”
