March 27. “Button, I still find it hard to believe that Shabby is not around anymore!

This whole exercise of going out every night to feed all 6 strays started because of Shabby. His death came so suddenly that when we went out on the night of the 23^rd to feed him, the news the watchman at Chelaram House gave us socked us hard between the eyes.”

“I understand how you feel. I also notice that didi is very quiet.”

“She is one person who does not blabber about her intimate feelings to anyone. She keeps them all bottled up unlike the rest of us in this family. In that respect, she is a very private person.”

“I don’t know but I hope Shabby did not suffer too much!”

Yeah, in a way Shabby was released from the misery of going through bad health any further. RIP Shabby.

  If you saw Shabby, you would have fallen in love with him like we did.
  
  I very often wonder how humans desert helpless pets and leave them to die on the streets. Is any other species capable of such lovelessness and a don’t-give-a-damn attitude?

I understand what you guys must be going through. I too lost a pet recently. It was hard. He was very nice cute golden lab and his name was Joy. I miss him so much.
