March 10. “Button, two news clips—one, a cartoon strip which also happens to be one of my favourite cartoons called Hagar the Horrible…

and one more news item grabbed my attention this morning because it reminded me of you and your friend Fluffy. The Hagar comic strip showed Hagar and a friend of his fishing with two burly bears peering from behind them and Hagar telling his friend that if they get lucky in hooking a fish, they should give it to the two bears behind them. The other one described how Om Puri was shooting for a movie on the outskirts of Mumbai when he experienced real danger. It seems the actor missed his regular workout session hence asked his trainer to accompany him on a jog to the mountains and back. The trainer suddenly screamed out to the actor to run for dear life.  Turning back, Om saw a giant falcon (or was it a vulture) heading towards them. The two men ran down the slope as fast as their legs would carry them.”

“What’s a vulture?”

“Falcons and vultures belong to the same species but vultures are much larger.”

“Visualise the scene with two men running and a huge vulture flapping his wings and charging at them from behind!”

“Must have looked funny.”

“Think of yourself at the receiving end. Would that be funny?”
