January 6. “What colour is the sky, Button?”

“The sky is blue!”

“Look at the sky more closely—Can you see some brown there, that patch of green, the crimson close to it and a whole lot of other colours? We have been told that the colour of the sky is blue but there are myriad colours only if you care to look. It’s like a huge palette with a rainbow of colours strewn around.”

“You’re so right. I can also see some black, some ochre, some pink, different shades of blue… I can name many more.”

“The same holds true of life. It comes with many opportunities. You only have to look around to find them and grab the ones you want.”

“I tried some of your cauliflower subzi this morning and loved it.”

“So you eat vegetables too!”

“I am trying. Today was the first trial.”
