Dear Readers, you may notice the dates of the Blog do not match the Flash Post dates which are in real time. The blog was written in 2009 and saw the light of day 6 months back when my younger daughter discovered it and decided to bring it to you here.

January 27. “Button, she’s been in ICU since the last 6 days and is fighting for survival.

My people at the club are going hell for leather—trying everything possible—to try and get her to live and what a fighter she is. She’s got a fungal infection that has spread not only to her fins but her mouth as well but she’s been lying on her left side still gasping for air and still making a damn good effort to heal herself and live.”

”Who are you talking about?”

“Let’s call her Fighter. She’s one out of the 9 goldfish we have at the club and she’s got a bad case of fungal infection. My staff and even some members have been giving suggestions and trying their best to see if they can cure her of the infection and get her back to be with her friends. One of my staff members even called up a vet friend abroad to check for a cure. She has suggested a few remedies which have already been administered.”

“What do you mean she’s in ICU?”

“It’s a small glass aquarium where she has been quarantined so the others don’t get infected.”

“She must be lonely!”

“Yes, but it is for her good as well as for the good of her companions. I am sure she understands.”

“I’ll pray for her till she gets well.”

“Thanks, Button. I’ll take you there one of these days so you can meet her too.”

“That’s very sweet of you.”
