“Button, it was a very sad day for me as well as, I think, for most Indians when our boys playing the semis against Australia lost! I wept! What a glorious Sunday, the 29th, would have been to watch India and New Zealand play the finals in Sydney– I had so hoped for that…and what a day it could have been if India won and brought the World Cup home for the second time!

But that was not to be! Life always teaches us to not pin our hopes on what we want and also to hope! Where would we all be if we didn’t hope!
