Flash Post 209!

I’ve been bitten black and blue by mosquitoes lately.

Sleep with a chicken next to your bed to keep them at bay, Button.

What did you just say? Sleep with a chicken?

I’m not saying this but scientists have found out that mosquitoes don’t like the smell of chicken blood. A study in Ethiopia found that the pest is repelled by the smell of chicken.

That’s news.

In fact, outdoor cattle were the most bitten with a bite rate of 63% while 20% had sucked human blood. The researchers found just one mosquito with chicken blood.

You’re not pulling my leg, are you?

Not at all. This bit of news was published in the TOI dated July 22.

Would you sleep with a chicken next to you?

I doubt it but, if things get out of hand, who knows I may just consider it. If Mowgli and MoJo can sleep in my room, why can’t a chicken!

Cluck…cluck…
