Dear Readers, you may notice the dates of the Blog do not match the Flash Post dates which are in real time. The blog was written in 2009 and saw the light of day 6 months back when my younger daughter discovered it and decided to bring it to you here.

Button, which time of day do you like the most?

I love dawn. I see it akin to a painter holding a life-sized paintbrush and swishing the black off his huge canvas to replace it with silver and gold. And, suddenly, there is light and life and hope. The darkness and gloom have disappeared with a single stroke.

Wow! That’s beautifully put.

What about you?

I like dawn but I also love dusk. That time of the evening between 6.30 and 7 in the summer months and between 5.30 and 6 during the cooler months. I love the fading light where the approaching darkness is nudged aside by the lights that come on, also bringing light and joy and fun and another kind of life–on the streets, in homes…Suddenly, it’s another time of day when people get back to their homes, families bond, hot food is served on dinner tables and then sleep brings with it the much required and desired rest to rejuvenate us for the next day. It’s a perfect bonding–dawn and dusk are so compatible with each other that one wakes you up and the other takes you to a time of day when the rest heals you to face the next day.

But you have to choose between dawn and dusk. You can’t sit on the fence!

I choose dusk.
