Button, they are called the white-spotted fantail or as Sunjoy Monga calls them, Mumbai’s tiny dancer and we get lots of them visiting us every morning in our terrace garden. Have you seen them?

Not really. Why did you not show them to me?

I will when they visit us tomorrow morning. They are so tiny and blend so well with the foliage that it is difficult to spot them.

So how did you spot them?

They have not been nicknamed tiny dancer for nothing., Button. One can tell where they are because they don’t remain still even for a second and they chirp all the while.

And why are they so fidgety?

They fidget so they can see tiny insects also move which is food for them.

How interesting.

And their tail opens up like a hand fan and shuts every time they flit from one branch to another, from one tree to the other.
