“Button, Big Ben is 156 years and running faster than ever!”

“Who is Big Ben and how is he alive at 156 and still running? Please explain.”

“Big Ben is the oldest clock in the world. He stands towering over the British Parliament and chimed every hour on the dot. That has gone haywire ever since he decided to run faster.”

“Do you think he could have turned slightly temperamental with age! Like it happens to all of us?”

“Perhaps. After all these years of doing his job on time, maybe he too wants to play truant with the mechanics who want to correct him and also confuse Londoners about the real time of day. With him running six seconds too fast, BBC domestic and world radio transmissions that broadcast the hour chimes live has got all messed up.”

“Or, simply put, maybe he wants a little more care and attention after having given faultless service to the world for so many years.”

“A human Big Ben!”
