December 12. “Christmas is 13 days away, Button, yet it doesn’t feel Christmas at all.
I don’t see any build-up to Christmas anywhere, no Christmas trees, no tinsel, nobody’s in a mood to shop…”
“Is it because everybody is busy with the wedding season? Hundreds of people are getting married everyday. I was talking to some people at Moksh yesterday about the same thing. All these jodis will produce off-springs and our universe will certainly burst open at the seams!”
“With this ply sealing up my room, will you get to see me on Christmas and New Year? Will you peck me on my nose and hug me tight? I feel very unsure with the slow work pace. I’ll feel miserable if I don’t get to see you on the last day of the year.”
“I’m trying my best, Button, to get them to hurry. I can only hope they finish their job and pull down the ply so I have access to your room. You know I too will be miserable if I don’t see you but let’s hope for the best. Hope keeps us all alive.”
“You’re right. Let’s hope for the best. Love you.”
“I love you too, Button.”
