April 14. 9pm. “I am hungry. Can we please eat?”
“Button, today is one of those days when Dost and my elder daughter have gone out on work and will be back shortly. Do you want to eat or wait?”
“I’ll wait. How can I eat alone?”
“Eat some wafers in the meantime.”
“I’m growing a paunch: I’ll skip the wafers.”
“My younger daughter’s sitting alone in the living room. Why don’t you go and join her. I’ll wind up some work I am doing and come and join you two.”
“I’ll do that. She was out till very late yesterday.”
“I told you she was in the studio working on a promo.”
“It’s getting hotter every day. I can already gauge what May will be like.”
“I am dreading May.”
