April 1. I’ve had the time of my life…

“Button, is that you humming?”

“I had the time of my life. Thank you so much.”

“You have only my elder daughter to thank.”

“I hugged and kissed her a million times. For a moment I thought you had forgotten my birthday.”

“I realized that after seeing you frown for the longest time and your mood swings. Don’t you have faith in your family?”

“Who planned and organized the whole event? The decoration, the food, the guest-list? It was the most perfect party.”

“My elder daughter and I planned it and she executed the entire event from ordering the food and the cake to personally calling the guests and inviting them. The car ride was planned so they could decorate the house while we were out. Did you like the balloons?”

“Everything was perfect. The pani puri was yummy. But I liked your bhel the most.”

“Did your friends enjoy themselves?”

“They freaked out. Katrina was a little quiet because she’s still recovering from the flu but Fluffy and his family enjoyed themselves thoroughly. As my birthday gift, Fluffy has promised me a long ride on his back anywhere I wish to go at any point of time. Katrina gave me this poem she’s especially written for me.”

“Happy?”
