Dear Readers, you may notice the dates of the Blog do not match the Flash Post dates which are in real time. The blog was written in 2009 and saw the light of day 6 months back when my younger daughter discovered it and decided to bring it to you here.
September 27. “Button, it is so easy to point a finger at someone and blame that person for everything that’s gone wrong and so difficult to praise him for things that may have turned out trumps!”

September 27. “Button, it is so easy to point a finger at someone and blame that person for everything that’s gone wrong and so difficult to praise him for things that may have turned out trumps!”

“Exactly what are you trying to say here?”

“The President of the Commonwealth Games Federation, Mike Fennell, even went to the extent of calling Suresh Kalmadi charismatic and explained that Kalmadi did not have the right approach towards organizing the Games.”

“But Suresh Kalmadi got everything wrong including the crores of rupees he spent when the Games could have been organized in a civilized manner at much less!”

“I agree with what you are saying but when someone is down and out—does it make sense to trample on him with hobnailed boots? What will you achieve? The games are round the corner therefore, isn’t it a better idea to not point out mistakes but set things right as much as is possible so the Games can somehow get started? Who knows—if the games are organized in a better fashion and we get to win some medals—some of the things gone wrong can be righted! After all, we have a reputation to protect. The best way to do this would be to get the Games organized by putting in hundred percent effort and later punish those who didn’t deliver.”

“Maybe you are right. It doesn’t make sense blowing up the wrongs at a time when they have a deadline to meet.”
