Dear Readers, you may notice the dates of the Blog do not match the Flash Post dates which are in real time. The blog was written in 2009 and saw the light of day 6 months back when my younger daughter discovered it and decided to bring it to you here.

September 22. “Button, for the first time, chotididi and I found Shabby wandering around aimlessly, far away from where he lives and I was scared for him since our four-legged friends have a territory issue.

We drove to his natural habitat and got him somehow to run alongside the vehicle to guide him back home.”

“Festival times with loud music and all the firecrackers is an extremely scary time for our street friends.”

“Sadhu was hiding under a car. We somehow managed to get him out but he went back into hiding without eating the food we had packed up for him. On our way back the late Kishore Kumar’s hit number Musafir hoon yaro, na ghar hai na thikana was playing on FM and it reminded me of all our street friends who are gypsies and have no home to go to.. The song was playing at such an apt time that both my younger daughter and I were taken aback!”

“Do you like Kishore Kumar’s music?”

“Very much. He was a great singer, composer and an exceptional performer. Incidentally, today is the last day of the Ganpati immersion.”

“I am aware. And how is MoJo?”

“He’s doing good.”
