Dear Readers, you may notice the dates of the Blog do not match the Flash Post dates which are in real time. The blog was written in 2009 and saw the light of day 6 months back when my younger daughter discovered it and decided to bring it to you here.

May 29. “Have you seen the statues of the three fat ladies in yogic postures on the centre table in our hall?”

“I have.”

“Aren’t they cute?”

“Very. Where did you get them?”

“From the curio shop at the Le Meridian in Phuket. I admired them and Dost bought them for me as a surprise gift. He thinks the 3 statues remind him of the three women in his life: The one doing Sirshasana is my younger daughter, my older daughter is the one doing Bhujangasana and the one in the Ushtrasana pose is me.”

“Charming. You always get back some memorabilia from every place you visit. I notice it’s become a habit.”

“You’re right. I love getting back something for the home every time we visit a new place, carrying back the item myself and finding an appropriate place for it. A lot of the items we have here are reminders of places the family has holidayed in.”
