Dear Readers, you may notice the dates of the Blog do not match the Flash Post dates which are in real time. The blog was written in 2009 and saw the light of day 6 months back when my younger daughter discovered it and decided to bring it to you here.
March 5. A little after noon. “Button, it’s time you took a bath and got ready to welcome your guests.

March 5. A little after noon. “Button, it’s time you took a bath and got ready to welcome your guests.

And here’s the crimson scarf I promised to lend you.”

“Another 5 minutes and I’ll be squeaky clean and ready for the party. I have already showered and am in the process of taking out the clothes I want to wear. Please check if it’s clean behind my ears.”

“But that pair of cut-outs need ironing. Just give it to me and I’ll get it pressed.”

“I’ve also cleaned out the room. Does it look tidy now?”

“Sort of. And here are some African Daisies to lend some colour to your room.”

“You are really cute.”

“The food is ready. Just needs some warming up before we serve. By the way, did you enjoy the experience in the kitchen? It was nice of you to help.”

“I loved the experience. Has the jelly set?”

“It has. Finally. And here are your ironed cut-outs.”

“Thank you so much. Here comes Fluffy with Katrina and his family. Come, I’ll introduce them to you and the other family members.”

After the introductions, Button took Fluffy and his family as well as Katrina on a tour of the house.  Around 1, all of us sat down for lunch.

“This biryani is excellent, Preity. You must learn from ma’am how she makes the dish” remarked Fluffy.

“Button, has Katrina always been a vegetarian?”

“She turned vegetarian a couple of years back.”

After lunch and a long chat, Fluffy said he had to return home. Katrina stayed back for some more time.

“Did you have a good time, Button? Did your friends enjoy themselves?”

“Everybody had a great time. I can’t thank you enough.”
