June 6. “Button, we will be witness to the darkest lunar eclipse in 40 years!”
“Really? When? What exactly is a lunar eclipse?”
“On June 15, the sun, earth and the moon will align and the moon will pass through the shadow cast by the earth.”
“So the three will be one behind the other?”
“That’s right. And, as the moon slips into the shadow cast by the earth, it will slowly turn crimson.”
“Can we see it?”
“Yes, it will be visible across India and, if the skies are clear, we will be able to see it. Through telescopes, of-course.”
