June 29. “Slowcoach broke his journey every few hours to rest and eat something to refuel himself.
He saw buses, cycles, scooters and three-wheelers for the first time and wondered that if he could ride one of those, he’d be able to move around faster. Of-course, the people on the streets far outnumbered everything else.”
“The one thing he was unable to do was cross over from one side of the road to the other. He realized that his pace would not allow him to do so. He’d definitely get run over. At one point, he also realized the fact that he was going round and round till he reached a bridge connecting one side of the road with the other side. He stood at the base and watched people walk up the stairs and then walk down to reach the other side. He thought that he had finally beaten the problem of crossing roads.”
“Slowcoach began trudging up the stairs. He had barely reached the top when he found himself being air-lifted. He began to flap his legs and tried to figure out what was happening. Suddenly he heard a voice—And where do you think you are going? You could have been trampled under human feet or been hit by a car. Have you finally lost it?”
“And who are you? Your voice sounds familiar. Slowcoach turned around to find Fluffy holding him in his beak. Let me go, Fluffy. I want to do this on my own. I want to see the world. Don’t you feel like going on an adventure? Fluffy replied—We’ll see the world together. One of these days I’ll take you on my back and go for a spin. I don’t know if I’ll be able to take you on a world trip but I’ll show you some of it. Now I’ll drop you home. Everybody’s been missing you.”
“Fluffy dropped Slowcoach back home. He was welcomed back with open arms. After dinner, everybody sat around the dinner table waiting for Slowcoach to tell them his story about the journey he had undertaken.”
“Button, that brings our story to an end. We’ll get Dost to read it and judge it and give away the prize whenever he has some time.”
