“Rain.”
“Correct. Look at those dark clouds in the sky.”
“Do you think it’ll rain today? Do you think god heard my prayer?”
“Maybe he did.”
“Which means prayers work. Prayers are powerful.”
“Could be. Anything done with conviction and faith works. You must have prayed with your heart and soul.”
“Shall we spread a red carpet to welcome the rains?”
“Let’s do that by having khichdi and pakoras for dinner.”
“That’s so tempting. Let’s forget all about dieting and binge!”
“I love that song of Shubha Mudgal which goes—‘Ab ke saawan, aise barse, behe jaaye rang, meri chunar se…’ It’s the first Hindi rain song that comes to mind when you talk about the monsoons. And that voice of hers is simply to die for.”
