June 17. “Button, name five things you’d wish for?”

“This one needs some serious thought but the one that immediately comes to mind is that we should get good rain this season. The next would be that human beings must learn to treat animals more humanely. There should be a school for the four-legged species would be my third. The fourth would be that girls should be treated on par with boys and my last wish would be for this family to learn to have more fun.”

“Good.”

“Now tell me what you’d wish for.”

“I’d wish that my family members are happy and in good health every single day of their lives. The second would be that the girl child should be spared from death. The next would be that we must attempt to find happiness at any cost. My fourth wish would be that we must all try to make this world a better place for all those who occupy it and for generations to come. The last one would be that when death knocks on our door, we should die peacefully without having to suffer.”

“Nice. But mine are nicer.”
