June 14. “Did you see the pitch black clouds spread over the southern sky at around 9 this morning?
It also thundered. I am terrified of thunder and so is Rani and Mowgli.”
“I thought it was going to pour, Button, but there was no such luck.”
“It’s been raining on and off though.”
“That’s not the kind of rain we need. We need torrential rains to quench the city of its thirst and fill our lakes.”
“I am told it’s pouring in the suburbs.”
“I only hope the rain gods bless us with heavy showers this year and not tease us with droplets of rain now and then.”
“And when are we going for that walk in the rain you promised?”
“Hopefully sometime soon when it starts to pour. You can’t go for that walk in scanty rain!”
“Rani and Mowgli are also waiting.”
