Dear Readers, you may notice the dates of the Blog do not match the Flash Post dates which are in real time. The blog was written in 2009 and saw the light of day 6 months back when my younger daughter discovered it and decided to bring it to you here.

“Most certainly. What’s the matter?”

“It’s Sadhu. He’s very unwell. Last evening when the two of us went to feed him, he simply moved away!”

“Did he eat tonight? What’s the matter?”

“The maggots have returned to feed on him in a big way and I have no idea how things will eventually pan out! Dipesh from WSD has been doing a great job but Sadhu is in a pathetic condition. The only nice thing that happened this evening when I went to feed him was that he actually ate and ate all his food. That made me really happy.”

“I noticed you went alone to feed the strays! Where’s choti?”

“She’s gone to Delhi to make a presentation. Will be back tomorrow.”

(Sandhu has been admitted to a hospital run by the Welfare of Stray Dogs. The maggots have been removed. His wounds have been bandaged. Hopefully he will return to familiar territory—home for him—soon.)
