January 30. “Now, can we get on with our story?”

“Sure. Whose turn is it?”

“Yours.”

Pia got into a cab and headed straight back home.

What’s wrong, Pia? Asked her mother! You seem rather perturbed. B

Nothing, mom. Nothing’s wrong.

Pia spent the entire evening locked up in her room. When she emerged in the morning, she had made up her mind that no matter what, she has begun to love Pandit. Surely a few aaaaaachoooooooo’s couldn’t sever their tie! It wasn’t that she was not aware of it. She hadn’t been at the receiving end till yesterday. Pia remembered to stay out of the way of Pandit’s aaaaaachoooooooo’s in the future. B

In school the next day, Pia was her normal self. She spoke, laughed and joked with Pandit as usual.

“Button, it’s Sunday afternoon. Shouldn’t you and I take a nap?”

“Let’s go rest.”
