“Yes, Button, your didi got it back from Kolkata and, very lovingly, passed it on to me. I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep tonight.”

“Go to bed earlier than usual and try and get some shut-eye.”

“I’ll do that but before that, tell me if you’ve made some new year resolutions!”

“Have you?”

“I don’t make new year resolutions because I invariably mess up. Have you?”

“I have. Just for the heck of it.”

“Let’s hear them.”

“The first one is I’ll go vegan.”

“That’s nice. Any more?”

“Another one. I’ve stuck to two so it’s simpler seeing them through.”

“And what’s the second resolution?”

“I’ll try and win Katrina back.”
