January 16. “Button, it’s amazing how some stories concerning our four-legged friends are heart-wrenching and touching.

Sometime back, there was this lovely story about a Pench tiger who was headed back home because he was homesick. The big cat, brought to Madhya Pradesh’s Panna National Park from the Pench reserve 400 kilometres away, crossed hills, rivers, fields and human habitation to move closer to his original home. He was tracked 24×7 through a radio collar by the director of the Panna National Park who hadn’t gone home in four weeks!”

“Touching.”

“I also saw your friend Fluffy flying around with something in his beak. Perhaps he is cushioning his nest and making it more comfortable for his wife and kids.”

“I saw him too. That’s exactly what he is doing. He told me he was renovating his home when he came to meet me this morning with his wife and kids. He has named his two boys Shonu and Monu.”
