Flash Post 94!

“Button, I am hoping you have read Flashpost No 92 where I wrote about the curtains going down on Samovar, the quaint little cafeteria that brought together people from all walks of life!

The four of us were there yesterday to, possibly, have our last meal together and ordered a lot of stuff suggested by Deveika, daughter of proprietor, Usha Khanna, a quaint lady herself, aged 88!

Today is March 22 and in another 9 days the institution called Samovar will shut its doors. I have an idea, Button! Let’s start our countdown beginning March 23 for your return journey. Try and come back on March 31, the last day of the 50-year tenure of the cafeteria and we’ll all have a meal there and call in your birthday which is on April 1! What a coincidence that will be– the curtains coming down on Samovar and our innings starting all over again! It can be a momentous occasion!

By the way, I brought back a tiny memento for you. It’s a paper napkin which has the Samovar insignia printed on it. Come home. Everything’s forgiven…”
