Flash Post 9!
“Button, I had been itching to do this ever since Dost and I landed at the Wildflower Hall a couple of days back. The notice standing on the table warned us against monkeys stealing our belongings if we kept the windows open! But this morning I couldn’t hold myself back any further. I took the lone banana (Dost had already eaten one), opened one of the windows in the living room (Dost was still asleep) and kept the banana outside as bait for my simian friends. Something told me they would land up sooner or later. I, then, went and sat on one of the sofas where I could stretch out my legs and read the day’s papers. I also kept a watch, from the corner of my eye, once in a while, to see if my friends had come by. I suddenly saw a flurry and reached the window to see a lone monkey (I’ve already christened him Monu) eating the banana! After he had eaten every bit of the banana, I gave him an apple. A kiwi came later by which time he was satiated and fell asleep all cuddled up outside our window.
You can see him here eating the apple while the wilted banana peel lies under his left hind leg.
Ek kahani ho jaye! Come on Button! Be a sport. Come back. There’s so much to share…”
