Button, should we write our 2nd short story?
Absolutely. I keep hearing the parivar talking about Amazon and Netflix and about pitching this idea to them and that story to them: Has it ever struck you that we could try and pitch our idea of writing children’s’ stories to them which could, in turn, be made into animated shows for kids or films for children? Do you know if they have a cell for children’s films?
I don’t know and I haven’t a clue. But we can always find out. If Amazon does have such a cell, you and I can approach them and, if they don’t like our ideas, they can tell us they don’t and we can think of fresh stuff.
We can do that. But you do realise this is a joke– I mean this pitching of ideas for children’s films.
Of-course I do. Now shall I start the story?
Please do.
BUNTI AND BUBLI
Bunti, the pooch, was taking a stroll on the stretch of the Worli seafront.
Bubli, his mate, spotted two friends sitting on one of the benches sharing an ice cream. As Bubli was pregnant, she had, of late, developed a liking for Tutti Frutti ice cream. She saw the two friends licking away at the ice cream and hung out her tongue till it touched the pavement.
Bunti saw the love of his life eyeing the ice cream and immediately understood what she wanted. He thought of a plan, tiptoed close to the two children and yelped out loud.
In an instant, the kids leapt down from the bench dropping the ice cream which gave Bunti a chance to scoop up the cone in his mouth and run away with it.
Bubli was aware of their secret hideout. In no time, she reached the spot to find Bunti waiting there guarding the ice cream for her lovingly. She licked away at it with a beatific smile on her face and even pleaded with Bunti to take a lick. But Bunti refused since he knew how much Bubli craved it.
Bunti continued to get ice cream for Bubli whenever he could manage it. When Bubli delivered, giving birth to six beautiful pups, they named two out of the six Tutti and Frutti.
PS: Button, our last story didn’t have a title. No worries. We’ll give it a title.
