Dear Readers, you may notice the dates of the Blog do not match the Flash Post dates which are in real time. The blog was written in 2009 and saw the light of day 6 months back when my younger daughter discovered it and decided to bring it to you here.

Button, have you noticed how ingenious the pariahs on the streets as well as the feathered ones are?

I know the reason for that comment of yours. May I tell the incident to our readers?

Of-course.

Well, readers, this morning as we looked out onto the garden facing the kitchen, we spotted a mynah taking, perhaps, a long-awaited bath in a pool of water that had collected inside a small pothole. He ducked his head in first and then shook off the water after which he proceeded to actually sink in further and dip the lower half of his body. After he finished doing this, he dipped one side of his wings and then the other, performing all his antics as we looked on.

What came next?

He actually invited a mynah waiting in the sidelines to take his turn at bathing.

That little hole filled with muddy water looked like a tub he was taking his bath in, don’t you think?

After which he flew to a tree nearby and proceeded to dry himself while his mate or friend continued with the same ritual.

You know something, Button?

What?

I can actually watch non-humans putting up a play for hours on end and never get bored.

I can, too. You think they actually put up these plays for us?

May not be for us but like we put up shows or plays, however you want to call them, they may be doing the same thing, adding a dialogue or two and even music to their shows!

And why not!
