“Button, more on the chatter versus the silence bit I wrote on sometime back! At my mom’s place where I spent most of yesterday, the conversation veered towards verbally expressing oneself and, yet, saying a lot of things in silence! Dost also spoke about how he and my younger daughter travelled someplace for hours, holding each others’ hands without speaking a word throughout the journey!”

“Sprawled on a sofa on the 4th floor of the Grand Hotel on Chowringhee, I can hear different species of birds chattering away outside the bay windows of the hotel. It’s late morning and they must be having a lot of stories to tell each other! Could there be a few who are around but are not actively participating in the chatter most of the others have busied themselves yet Expressing what they want silently! Do other species ask the same questions we ask and reach the same conclusions we reach! I wonder…”
