While you, Mowgli and Mojo napped, the three of us went to return Moti to his familiar habitat after my daughter managed to locate him at WSD and capture another stray to return her to her familiar terrain.

I still don’t understand!

Let me explain– Moti was sent to the WSD after a building resident complained that he had bitten someone! On the day we were informed of his return from WSD, we went to feed him in the evening, as usual, only to find that no-one had seen him! They had, instead, seen another stray scurrying around totally lost. Nearly ten days passed with us enquiring after Moti and trying to pin the acquaintance of the other stray. It was only today that the proprietor informed my daughter that there had been a goof-up and that Moti was still at WSD! Another female stray had been dropped off in place of him! Things fell in place and my daughter rushed to the animal shelter to identify Moti so she could bring him back and return him to his rightful place as well as find the other female stray and take her back home.

Button, the three of us also realised that not everyone out there is bad, evil and with an ulterior motive because–from building watchmen to chauffeurs to the local paanwalla– each and every one came together to assist a WSD helper to capture the female stray as well as call us to inform us that Moti had returned. An architect who cares for the female stray had been in that area searching for her since morning! One more animal lover sent my daughter a text saying “There’s a dog in my garden and ain’t I happy!”

I must say it was a day well spent.

And you let me nap through it all? I’m very irritated with myself and angry with you!
