December 20. “Button, another 11 days and this year will be history. Can you believe it?”

“I honestly can’t. Another 364 days are over—in the blink of an eyelid!”

“But a lot also happened—both good and bad like every other year. But the approaching Christmas season doesn’t seem exciting. Why do you think it is so?”

“Don’t know. There’s so much unhappiness, uncertainty and gloom all around.”

“As kids, I still remember how I would climb on chairs, even cupboards to hang tinsel and decorate the house and the Christmas tree at home. But I was a kid then living a carefree life even though we were as poor as churchmice.”

“Happiness is a state of mind—You can be happy if you choose to be happy. At times, some of the smallest things can make you feel happy!”

“I agree. Only if one tried to see the brighter side of everything and brushed aside the unhappy bits but we all focus on the unhappy moments a lot more than the happier ones.”
