August 28. “Button, name one ultimate elixir that can cure us of any illness.”
“Love.”
“Yes. But something more superior.”
“Sex.”
“Something even better!”
“I haven’t the faintest idea.”
“It’s sleep. Sleep can cure us of anything.”
“What about insomniacs?”
“They suffer. They suffer from hypertension, diabetes, anxiety, high blood pressure, stress and a horde of other life-threatening diseases. I have known people who practice all kinds of things to be able to get a good night’s sleep.”
“Like what?”
“Like drinking hot chocolate or a hot cup of milk, a lot of people count sheep to get their shut-eye. Lots of people have sleeping pills.”
“Are these of any help?”
“I don’t know. I don’t think so. Or may-be just a little.”
“What’s sleep-walking?”
“A sleep-walker is one who walks in his sleep. This can last for 30 seconds or more. People sometimes sleepwalk for up to 30 minutes.”
“That can be dangerous! Have you seen anyone sleep-walking?”
“Yes. It can get dangerous when the sleep-walker leaves home or goes off for a drive.”
“I’d get seriously scared if I saw someone sleep-walking. It’s eerie. Very ghost-like.”
