“So tell me.”
“The texting lingo, in other words sms or short message sending, is 130 years old!”
“Really?”
“Victorian writers used abbreviations typical of textspeak, according to an exhibition at the British Library.”
“That’s very interesting.”
“According to The Guardian, the London exhibit will have on display a poem printed in 1867 which features a number of acronyms and abbreviations—the same used now while texting. It’s called emblematic poetry and combines letters, numbers and logograms.”
“Where did you read about this?”
